TB 500 is identical in structure and function to Thymosin Beta-4, a natural wound healing protein produced by the thymus gland. Also referred to as Tbeta4, Tβ4, or TB4, it has been shown to exhibit numerous favorable cellular and physiological functions, working through several different mechanisms of action. It has been observed to stimulate angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels), cell migration, stem cell differentiation, and upregulation of gene expression, along with promoting cell survival. Moreover, one of its primary action mechanisms is an ability to regulate actin, the most abundant protein in eukaryotic cells and a key factor in vital biological processes at the cellular level. Indeed, clinical studies have repeatedly linked TB500’s action mechanisms to its powerful healing and protective effects on muscle, tendon, ligament, and bone tissue in animal subjects.

Side Effects

TB 500 has not been shown to cause adverse side effects at recommended dosage levels in any study conducted at this time. Further, long term veterinary use for racing animals such as horses and greyhounds has also revealed no negative side effects as reported by trainers and veterinarians around the world.

Additionally, it is important to note that Thymosin Beta 4 does not have any effect or impact on the animal’s natural production of sex hormones (i.e. testosterone or estrogen) or growth factors such as growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor 1. Critically, TB4 exerts its effects through entirely different mechanisms of action and has not been observed to interfere in any way with the animal’s natural physical equilibrium.

Dosage Information

TB-500 protocols generally utilize 5 – 10 milligrams per week. Importantly, optimal dosage protocols are commonly divided into 2 phases: loading and maintenance. The loading phase is the first phase and will typically last about 6 weeks, during which 5-10 mg are split into 1-3 weekly administrations. The purpose of the loading phase is to ensure a sufficient buildup of TB-500 to immediately stimulate healing and recovery of damaged tissue.

Following completion of the loading period, dosage amounts can be scaled back, and the maintenance phase begins. As the name suggests, the purpose of this phase is to maintain the recovery, healing, and injury preventative benefits of Thymosin for as long as required. Typically, one administration of about 2.5 -5 mg per week is recommended.

User Guidelines

Thymosin Beta-4 is administered by injection. It is effective whether injected subcutaneously (under the skin) or intramuscularly (into the muscle). As a general guideline, injection volumes under 1mL can be administered subcutaneously. Volumes greater than 1mL will be better tolerated when injected intramuscularly. For example, if mixing 10mg of TB 500 with 2mL bacteriostatic water, doses of more than 5mg should be injected into muscle.

For subcutaneous injections, 29-gauge insulin syringes are commonly used. 0.5 inch tips with 0.5 to 1cc capacity syringe will work, depending on injection volume. For larger volume intramuscular injection, 3cc syringe, 23 gauge, 1 to 1.5 inch tips are suitable.

There is often speculation about TB 500 injection sites and whether it needs to be administered close to the site of an injury. Importantly, Thymosin Beta 4 exerts its healing and recovery effects systemically. This means that it moves throughout the body, healing damaged tissue throughout the entire physique. Therefore, proximity of injection to the site of injury is not essential, but it can be administered close to the injury if convenient.

Reconstitution (mixing)

TB-500 is supplied as a lyophilized (freeze dried) powder to ensure maximum potency.

Prior to administration, TB-500 (5mg) must first be mixed with Bacteriostatic Water or Bacteriostatic Sodium Chloride to create a solution. It is recommended to use 2mL of Bacteriostatic Water to reconstitute one vial of TB-500.

Storage Guidelines

Once mixed with solution (reconstituted), TB-500 should be used as soon as possible. Any unused reconstituted portion should be refrigerated (NOT frozen), where it will remain stable for 1-2 weeks.

In lyophilized powder form, TB-500 can retain its potency for many months if stored properly. At room temperature, it will remain perfectly stable for 60 days. Upon receiving your order, it is recommended to store it in the freezer until ready to use. For storage of up to several months, a freezer temperature of -4 degrees Fahrenheit (-20 degrees Celsius) is adequate.

Important: avoid repeatedly thawing and refreezing lyophilized peptides. This can cause a loss of stability and potency.
